EXTERIOR

The design of the Excess 13 follows the design of our previous models. Externally, the Excess team has retained the lines of the body and the shape of the windows, building on this to develop a new model that is in line with our brand DNA. The “less is more” philosophy inspired the design of Excess 13. The aim is to provide greater functionality and comfort on board, while limiting negative impacts and the amount of materials used. This approach responds to boaters’ desire for greater simplicity and moderation. The result is a lighter, yet more durable boat that delivers a great sailing experience.

For interior design, Jean-Marc Piaton started with interviews to identify and understand the essence of the brand and its spirit, giving it substance and personality.

More intensive sailing

The Excess 13 is a cruising catamaran - a real sailing boat capable of crossing oceans. Its potential is revealed as soon as you leave port, offering an intoxicating sense of freedom. The direct-contact rudder allows you to feel in touch with the sea and set everything exactly the way you want it. Experiences multiply. A forward navigation table keeps you in touch with the elements and allows you to maintain a precise course. Like its predecessor, the Excess 13 uses the principle of asymmetric spheres. The underwater hull is narrower, which ensures excellent performance and a smooth glide on the water, while preserving living space. The real innovation lies in the design - all the designers' creativity has been focused on reducing the boat's weight. The results are not visible to the eye, but can be felt in every moment: more lightness, greater harmony with nature, faster response, more emotion.

Maximum comfort on board

This new model features a cabin filled with natural light and a fully-equipped galley that opens onto the cockpit, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces. The owner's area of the hull features a spacious bedroom, a spacious bathroom and - a rarity for a boat of this size - a cloakroom. The ergonomic workspace allows a better combination of work and passion for the sea. On the other side, guests can enjoy two bedrooms and two private bathrooms. But the real achievement of the Excess 13 is its construction - it manages to create a great living space: spacious interior design, ample storage and full-height ceilings without compromising ride quality.

Since the 2023 model year, all BENETEAU watercraft are equipped with the Seanapps module. It is a convenient solution that allows you to remotely monitor your vessel via an app. And not only that! Additionally, it is possible to grant access to the boat dealer and arrange, for example, maintenance, warranty, and other related services.
