The BENETEAU FIRST 30 offers speed and gliding power without the need for years of practice or a team – it can be done with a group of friends or a family. To do this, the FIRST 30 is extremely lightweight and has simple systems and backloading. The good handling also helps, ensuring firm control of the yacht even when speeds reach double figures. The cockpit is designed for fast sailing as well as for fun. Ergonomics and spaciousness are the main virtues of the cockpit. In addition, it is possible to choose between two different layouts: cruising and racing, thus responding to different needs, but neither option sacrifices the principles on which the yacht is based.

EXTERIOR

The sensation can be likened to the moment when the sailboat starts to glide – the exhilarating “lift-off” when the boat is freed from the normal water speed limitation. Until now, this experience required advanced sailing skills. But with the all-new BENETEAU First 30, the joy of gliding becomes effortless and accessible to everyone – from experienced racers to sailing novices. The deck and the spacious cockpit were designed with two objectives: to minimise clutter to create a spacious and comfortable rest area, and to ensure excellent sailing ergonomics. Two cockpit configurations are available: one for day sailors and cruisers and the other for racers. In the cruising configuration, the mainsail holder and German system heads allow the cockpit floor to be kept perfectly clean, while maintaining easy access for steering the mainsail thanks to the large winches. The racing setup adds a coarse sail boom and finely tuned direct steering system, creating a familiar working environment for racing sailors.

INTERIOR

As you’d expect from a true BENETEAU, the First 30 offers spacious living space for four sailors in two cabins with its distinctive, minimalist yet cosy interior. Its most striking features are a spacious forward cabin and cabin sleeping accommodations comparable to those of its bigger sister, the First 36. The same goes for the well-planned galley, with a stove, optional fridge and the galley itself at 1.85 m high. The interior also features a decent sized seating area and a host of clever and innovative solutions such as folding magnetic doors, removable textile storage and a folding galley extension. In short, the First 30 is a true gliding cruiser, offering everything a family or couple needs to have a ‘home away from home’.

MAIN POINTS

Since the 2023 model year, all BENETEAU watercraft are equipped with the Seanapps module. It is a convenient solution that allows you to remotely monitor your vessel via an app. And not only that! Additionally, it is possible to grant access to the boat dealer and arrange, for example, maintenance, warranty, and other related services.
