Saxdor Yachts tutvustas Genova paadimessil Simrad AutoCaptaini autonoomset sildumissüsteemi. Saxdori sõnul on nad esimene paadiehitaja väljaspool USA-d, kes selle oma paatidele paigaldab.

What Simrad AutoCaptain does
AutoCaptain helps with docking, undocking and short-distance maneuvering. Six stereo cameras around the boat give real-time 360-degree awareness. That helps in tight marinas, crowded docks, and in wind or current. At the dock, the system holds the boat in place while you tie up.

Components of the Simrad AutoCaptain system: a Simrad display, six cameras, and a Mercury propulsion system
The system works with Mercury Marine propulsion. You use it through a Simrad display app, and it is built into the boat’s design.
The captain is always responsible
The captain watches and controls the maneuver at all times. Simrad notes the system is not designed to detect shallow water, submerged objects or swimmers. The captain is always responsible for the boat.
What did Saxdor and Navico say?
Saxdor CTO Ludvig Liljequist said the system doesn’t rely on a previously mapped location. So the captain gets help in an unfamiliar marina too.
Yasser Nafei, President of Electronic Solutions at Navico Group, said AutoCaptain makes advanced technology easier for everyday boaters to use.
AutoCaptain as part of Saxdor’s technology
AutoCaptain is part of Saxdor’s wider technology: the MySaxdor app, Saxdor AI, Digital Showroom and Boat IQ, an AI companion that runs on the boat’s displays. Saxdor says Saxdor AI has handled more than 10,000 customer enquiries and is used by over 40 dealers in 30 countries.
